Video: Thieves drag safe from Salt Springs Pit Stop

Deputies say men stole safe, broke into ATM

FORT MCCOY, Fla. – Marion County deputies are still searching for the culprit who they say broke into the Salt Springs Pit Stop, took a safe and broke into an ATM.

Deputies said workers found the store, located on North Highway 19, broken into on Sunday morning. Surveillance video shows the two culprits prying their way into the store and dragging the safe from the Subway inside of the store, which held almost $600 in it.

Deputies also said the ATM was pried into, according to the report. It's not clear what was stolen from the ATM.

The culprits are described as white men, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans, black masks and gloves. Contact Marion County sheriff's if you have any information on the burglaries.

If caught, the men face grand theft and criminal mischief charges.
