ORLANDO, Fla. – Family and friends of a missing Orlando mom held a vigil on Wednesday, hoping to bring more eyes to her case.
It's been more than two weeks since Carline Brumaire-Jean was seen leaving her job at Royal Pacific Resort near Universal Orlando.
She clocked out at 4:21 p.m., but what happened on her eight mile drive home from work remains a mystery.
Sheriff's deputies tell Local 6 they are interviewing people close to the family, and conducting aerial searches of lakes near the hotel.
Before Wednesday's vigil, Brumaire-Jean's husband Enel attended a service at the Church of God in Pine Hills- where his Haitian brother's and sisters sang in Creole, and prayed for a miracle.
"I see a lot of Haitians step up with me, they help me -- you know what I'm saying -- that's what we looking for," he said.
Family, friends, and even strangers haven't stopped helping Enel put out fliers in the community.
Carline is the mother of a 7-year-old boy and moved to Orlando from Haiti last year.
"Somebody post it on Facebook. I get the picture and then post it on my page, to see if we can find her," said Santia Cadet, who is also from Haiti and is helping spread Brumaire-Jean's picture.
Enel fears the worst, because he says his wife would never leave her son.
"I hope the community -- if they hear me, or see me, right now if they have some information please call 911 let us know," he said.
Last year, the Sheriff's Office handled 3,709 missing person cases in Orange County.
Only the "endangered" cases are sent to the media immediately.
According to Jeff Williamson, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office, Brumaire-Jean's is not considered a "missing and endangered" case.
He says as of right now, there is no evidence to suggest foul play.
Investigators are reviewing video from the hotel the afternoon Brumaire-Jean left work.
