ORMOND-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. – A Volusia County motorcycle deputy has been injured after being involved in an accident in Ormond-by-the-Sea on Monday.
Deputies said a car driven by Joshua Baughman, 20, crashed into the deputy Keith Dalton, 51, on Ocean Shore and River Drive just after 6 p.m. as Dalton was escorting a group of motorcyclists on State Road A1A.

Dalton's motorcycle became stuck under Baughman's F-150 truck. Baughman has been cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, troopers said.
Dalton was taken to Halifax in stable condition.
