Volusia teacher pleads not guilty to child pornography charges

Elementary teacher Matthew Graziotti used 7 victims, court finds

SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. – The teacher who is accused of producing and distributing child pornography pleaded not guilty on Thursday to nine charges.

The FBI arrested Matthew Graziotti, a teacher at Warner Christian Academy, earlier this month  in the production and distribution of child pornography.

Graziotti pleaded not guilty to nine charges filed against him at his arraignment on Thursday after a grand jury indicted him on Wednesday for using seven underage victims to make child porn.

He chose not to pursue bond and will stay in jail. A status hearing will be set for 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 21 and the trial date is slated for Sept. 1.

The new charges come days after school leaders held a community meeting to tell parents they didn't know about the investigation until after his arrest.

Leaders said Graziotti will never work at the school again.
