Warm, rainy weekend set for Central Florida

Orlando to see cooler air for New Year's Eve

ORLANDO, Fla. – A warm, rainy weekend is expected in Central Florida, and cooler air is forecast for New Year's Eve.

High temperatures in Orlando on Friday will warm to 75 degrees, above the average high temperature of 72.

Rain chances will be at 30 percent.

"Temperatures warm near 80 for Saturday and Sunday in Central Florida," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Rain chances stand at 30 percent on Saturday but jump to 70 percent on Sunday.

"Rain will be out of the picture for New Year's Eve and for New Year's Day," Bridges said.

Temperatures will warm to 72 degrees on New Year's Eve Day and then cool to 49 overnight into Wednesday morning.

"New Year's Day will be nice and mild with highs in the low 70s," Bridges said.
