Week of weather changes on tap in Orlando

Severe weather possible early this week

ORLANDO, Fla. – A powerful cold front blasted through Central Florida early Sunday morning, dropping temperatures and powering 30 to 40 mile per hour wind gusts.

Temperatures fell into the 50s overnight under cloudy skies.

Monday will start cool and moderate, but high temperatures will climb into the mid-70s by the afternoon. A 20 percent chance of rain will continue through the day.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s.

The high on Tuesday will reach 80 degrees, but there's a 70 percent chance of rain.

"Rain and the chance for severe storms will be a big concern through Wednesday," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "Thanksgiving will be cooler and dry."

Black Friday shoppers will see a high of 71 degrees, with a 20 percent chance of rain.
