Windermere police officer slaying suspects had no drugs in system, report says

WINDERMERE, Fla. - The autopsy report for the two teens suspected in the slaying of a Windermere police officer says that the teens had no drugs in their systems of that time of their suicide.

According to the Orange County Medical Examiner's office, the cause of death for both Brandon Goode and Alex Hollinghurst were a single gunshot wound to the head. Both Goode and Hollinghurst's manners of death were ruled suicide.

Polk County sheriff's deputies said 18-year-old Goode and 17-year-old Hollinghurst, both of Davenport, were found dead on March 22 in the bushes near Conroy/Windermere Road after the shooting.  The duo, who had been considered missing and endangered, is suspected of shooting and killing Windermere police Officer Robert German.
