According to officials, Amy Beatty, 23, ran from the scene after the crash but was arrested a short time later. A 23-year-old passenger in the car, whom officials said were intoxicated, was left at the scene, officials said.

A woman inside the home was in her bed at the time of the crash and was "knocked around her bedroom," officials said. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash destroyed the trailer, which was moved into the carport area, striking the homeowner's vehicle, officials said. The bedroom where the homeowner was sleeping was shifted four feet

The News-Journal reports the 56-year-old injured woman's son, her daughter-in-law and her infant granddaughter were sleeping in a room on the other side of the mobile home and were uninjured.

Beatty was found at her home, also on Hickorywood Drive and taken to Volusia County jail. Beatty was charged with hit and run, driving without a valid driver's license, careless driving and leaving a crash scene with injury.

No other details were immediately known.
