VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Volusia County early Sunday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said Gladys Javes, 54, of Wisconsin, was standing next to her Jeep in the emergency lane of I-95 north around 4 a.m. when the unknown driver hit her.

The driver never stopped, according to the Highway Patrol.
This crash remains under investigation, and troopers said charges are pending.
Troopers have asked that anyone with information on this crash call the FHP at 407-737-2213.
