Woman, 74, drives into Clermont nail salon

Glass doors shattered at entrance of business

CLERMONT, Fla. – A 74-year-old woman drove her car into a nail salon Monday morning in Clermont, but no one was seriously injured, officials said.

The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. at Beauty Nail and Spa at 4420 U.S. Highway 27.

According to officials, Josephine Farsi, of Clermont, drove her gray 2001 Hyundai through the front of the business.

Video from Local 6 News helicopter Sky 6 showed shattered glass at the front entrance of the salon, which was left wide open.

She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.  No customers were injured.  A worker also suffered minor injuries but refused to go to a hospital, officials said.

Farsi was cited for careless driving, officials said.

It's not known when the salon will be able to reopen.
