DELTONA, Fla. -

A woman has been arrested for stealing electricity service for nearly four years, worth an estimated $11,000, according to a Volusia County news release.

Iris Corredor, 48, lives in Kissimmee but is responsible for paying her 75-year-old father's bills for his Deltona home, where she regularly visits. Since August 2010, the minimum charge of $9.88 from Duke Energy was billed to the home.

After an investigation performed by Duke Energy, it was discovered the home's electric meter had been tampered with. Corredor denies tampering with it, but acknowledged her father's electricity bills were much higher prior to August 2010, according to a news release.

Volusia County sheriffs arrested Corredor on two felony charges of grand theft and theft of utility services on Tuesday, according to a news release.
