Woman arrested in fatal stabbing, police say

Police say death threats carried out

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police arrested a woman they say stabbed another woman to death.

Police were called to a home at 847 North St. around 10:30 p.m. Friday about to a possible death.

Police said when they got to the home, they found Emma Sue Williams dead in a bedroom. Williams had died from a stab wound in her chest.

The home is owned by 53-year-old Brenda Reynolds. Earlier on Friday, Reynolds asked the victim's cousin, Ruby Young, to bring her some water because the water was turned off at the house, police said.

Police said when Young came back to the home, Reynolds was at the front door with a knife in her hand yelling that she was going to kill someone.

Reynolds denied having anything to do with the murder, officials said.

Detectives said they saw blood on Reynolds hands and on her right slipper.

Police said they arrested Reynolds for second-degree murder and she was taken to the Volusia County Jail.
