PINE HILLS, Fla. – A woman waiting for her son outside an Orange County store was carjacked late Tuesday night, and deputies continue to search for the assailant.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. near the Winn Dixie on North Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the woman was sitting in her red 2001 Pontiac Grand Am when a man approached her ans said, "Get out of your car" and brandished a gun.
The woman said she grabbed her purse and exited the vehicle and the man sped away in her car, according to deputies.
The woman was not injured.
The man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 130 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt, dark pants, a dark-colored hat and glasses.
