ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County sheriff's deputies continue to investigate after a man was shot dead in a home while his sister was in another room.
The fatal shooting happened around 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 7200 block of Mott Avenue in Orlando.
A 62-year-old woman said she was in her bedroom when she heard several gunshots, according to Orange County Sheriff's Office.
When she left her bedroom, she found her brother, Dennis Spurlock, 52, slumped over in the living room with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, deputies said.
The woman went to a neighbor's house and called 911. Deputies said Spurlock was pronounced dead at 12:03 a.m. Saturday.
A person was seen leaving the area in a vehicle, but no other details have been released, deputies said.
