Woman posing as Halifax Health worker sought in pizza fraud at Volusia BJ's

Woman refunded $360 for 40 pizzas she never purchased, cops say

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Port Orange police are looking for a woman who they say is a pizza fraud.

Surveillance pictures captured the woman who police said represents herself as an employee of  Halifax Health Center.

According to police, on May 3, at 7 p.m., she walked into BJ's Wholesale Club and asked for a refund for 40 pizzas that she wasn't satisfied with.

Police said the employee refunded her almost $360 without a receipt and without checking to see if the pizzas were ever purchased.

Investigators said the woman has done the same refund scam before throughout East Central Florida. The woman is wearing scrubs, a card clipped to her shirt with a magnetic strip but with no photo or words on it.

Halifax Health Center tells News 6 that all employees must wear badges with their name, picture and department clearly printed on it.

Police hope the images will help catch the woman.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Chris Bingham at 386-506-5895
