ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman attacked and robbed at knifepoint outside The Florida Mall says she thinks the man will strike again.

As soon as Lynn Girling got into her car parked outside JC Penny at the mall, a man grabbed and twisted her arm and then pulled out a knife.

"He said, 'Stop screaming.  My knife is very sharp,'" she said.

Girling's daughter was in the passenger seat and gave the man all the cash she had, $60.  He also took their credit cards and car keys before running away.

"He was desperate, he was unhealthy looking.  I really think that he's going to do it again," she said.

Girling was parked in a space farthest from the store, and she says the lights in that lot were not on.

"It was so dark, I never saw him coming," she said.

On Thursday night, the lot where Girling was attacked was completely lit, something she says needs to happen every night.

"I want them to protect their customers and make sure their lights are on.  I really feel like that would've helped," she said.

The mall's general manager, Brian Hanson, said the mall does not tolerate criminal activity.

"The mall continues to maintain a strong commitment to providing active security patrols in and around our property to provide a safe and secure shopping environment for our employees and mall guests," he said in a statement.

Girling says she's grateful she and her daughter made it out alive.

"I never actually thought that the next move could be death," she said.

The culprit was described as a white man in his early 50s with shoulder-length hair that was slicked back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
