ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman was shot in the head while driving to work early Monday in Orange County, according to sheriff's deputies.

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. on Balboa Drive near Pine Hills Road, north of State Road 50 in Pine Hills.

"All we have is that it was a white vehicle (in which the shooter was traveling)," Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Melvin Huggins said. It was before the sun came up, so it was dark. All she was able to advise is that it was a white vehicle."

Huggins said the victim's vehicle was towed and will be scoured for evidence.
