CLERMONT, Fla. -- An investigation is under way in Lake County after a hangman's noose was placed on a fence next to an Obama-Biden campaign sign.According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, a passer-by discovered the noose hanging from the fence in front of a Clermont house on Wednesday and called authorities.A deputy responded to the home, and talked to the residents, who said the campaign sign belonged to them and they did not know who placed the noose on the fence.The noose was taken into evidence.Sen. Barack Obama is the first African-American to be nominated as a presidential candidate of a major party.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
