Gorilla-Masked Robbers Terrorize ATM Customers

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two robbers wearing gorilla masks held up and pistol-whipped a man at a Orlando ATM early Wednesday and are believed to be responsible for another nearby robbery, according to police.

Investigators said the gorilla-masked bandits surprised their victim at the McCoy Credit Union on Central Florida Parkway and South Orange Blossom Trail.Officers said the gorillas hit and pistol-whipped the man as they drove away.The same men costumed robbers are suspected of robbing another ATM customer at the Vista Credit Union located on south International Drive a short time later.The victim gave a similar description of the crime.Deputies are investigating.Anyone with information concerning the crimes is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
