ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orange County sheriff's deputies responding to a reported assault shocked a man with a Taser after he came at them with a fire extinguisher and knives that were taped to his hand, according to a charging affidavit.
Kevin Fraser, 36, was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer without violence.
According to the affidavit, Orange County sheriff's deputies went to 14320 Babylon Way in Orlando on Thursday at about 5:51 p.m. after receiving a call saying that Fraser threatened to shoot a woman.
Fraser then went to another home and grabbed at least two large kitchen knives, which he adhered to his left hand with painters tape, the affidavit stated.
Deputies approached Fraser, who became very irate and said he would have to be killed to come out, the affidavit said.
Fraser, who was being held back by another person, attempted to "come at" the deputies with both knives and the fire extinguisher, so the deputies exited the home, according to the charging affidavit.
Fraser left through the back door but was confronted by two deputies, one of whom used a Taser gun after Fraser refused to drop the knives, the affidavit said.
Fraser was arrested and trasported to the Orange County Jail.
