Behindathebar was scratched from this weekend's Preakness Stakes.

The colt, who is trained by Todd Pletcher, is suffering from a bruised left front foot, the Associated Press and Thoroughbred Times reported Friday. He was slated to start Saturday's 1 3/16-mile race from the No. 5 post, and was made the 10-1 third choice to win by oddsmakers.

Behindatthebar skipped the Kentucky Derby to give him more rest for the Preakness.

With Behindatthebar out, the Preakness Stakes field was reduced to 12 horses.

Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown is the heavy favorite entering the race a 1-2 odds.
