Tebow's Status May Be Gametime Edict
UF Quarterback Suffered Concussion Versus Kentucky
POSTED: Wednesday, October 7, 2009
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida coach Urban Meyer said on Wednesday that he doesn't anticipate announcing whether or not Tim Tebow will play in Saturday's game until "the foot hits the ball'' at LSU.
He said earlier in the week he might not announce anything about Tebow's progress from a concussion suffered at Kentucky if it got late in the week, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.
"I think that this will be a decision not made today," Meyer said. "After yesterday's practice, I was told to gameplan with the intent that there's a chance that Tim could play. That's all I know. All the other stuff, we'll make a decision as we get closer. Is it an advantage us not telling? I'm not worried about that right now.''
The winner of the last three LSU-Florida games has gone on to win the national title (UF in 2006 and 2008 and LSU in 2007).
