Backcourt sizzles as Bucks down Golden State
Monta Ellis insisted it was “just another game.” But the Milwaukee Bucks guard showed otherwise with another strong performance against his former Golden State team, helping the Bucks to a 103-93 victory at Oracle Arena on Saturday night. Ellis, who received a loud ovation from the Warriors fans during the lineup introductions, improved to 3-0 against Golden State since the trade one year ago that sent him to the Bucks. He finished with 26 points, five assists and five rebounds despite first-half foul trouble, and backcourt mate Brandon Jennings contributed a game-high 31 points and 10 assists. “They love me,” Ellis said of the Golden State fans. “I was here for 7½ years and I did everything I could for this team. And they appreciate it and I appreciate them. “Even though we had bad seasons, they still came out and supported us. Even before the game started, when I first stepped on the court, you could feel the energy. I played a lot of games here and I felt like I was at home.”
