The New York Knicks plan to sign veteran forward Kenyon Martin to a second 10-day contract, Knicks head coach Mike Woodson told reporters Sunday.
Martin played just five minutes in the first seven days of his 10-day contract, but general manager Glen Grunwald said that he wants Martin to be with the Knicks for the rest of the season, ESPNNewYork.com reported.
After the second 10-day contract expires, New York will have to sign Martin for the rest of the year or release him.
