ORLANDO, Fla. -

Change is everywhere this season for the new-look Orlando Magic.

Dwight Howard's messy final season ended with the all-star center departing to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer.

Now, following a roster upheaval that has left only four players remaining who have spent more than one season with the Magic, new coach Jacque Vaughn and general manager Rob Hennigan aren't at all fearful of the rebuilding project that begins this season.

The early going will be tough with several projected contributors missing part, or all of the preseason because of injuries. They include Vaughn's likely starter at shooting guard, Arron Afflalo.

But regardless of the challenges that lie ahead, the players beginning the post-Howard era Magic are embracing the opportunity to build something anew.
