Miami Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi was arrested Friday morning on an outstanding warrant out of California.
Misi, the team's second round draft pick in 2010, was arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office on battery with serious injury charges.
The 25-year-old, who attended the University of Utah, was arrested at his home in Weston and surrendered without incident.
"We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering information. As a result, we will refrain from any comment," team spokesman Harvey Greene said.
In two seasons with the Dolphins, Misi has underperformed with only 5.5 sacks and 75 tackles.
Misi currently remains in Broward County jail on $10,000 bond.
