Eastern Illinois 40, Southern Illinois 37 (2OT): Jimmy Garoppolo passed for 440 yards and four touchdowns and Cameron Berra nailed a 36-yard field goal in the second overtime to lead the Panthers to an entertaining road win over the Salukis.Eastern Illinois (2-0) opened the first overtime by scoring on Taylor Duncan's 2-yard touchdown run, but Southern Illinois (0-2) answered with Kory Faulkner's 2-yard TD pass to MyCole Pruitt. Salukis kicker Thomas Kinney then missed from 37 yards out before the Panthers won it on their possession.Southern Illinois initially forced overtime on Faulkner's 17-yard TD pass to John Lantz with 2:19 left in regulation. Faulkner completed 28-of-50 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns, two of which were hauled in by Pruitt who hauled in eight catches for 98 yards.Garoppolo threw three first-half touchdowns to help the Panthers take a 21-17 lead at intermission. The senior finished 34-of-56, including 11 completions and one touchdown to Erik Lora, and seven completions and two scores to Adam Drake.Duncan led Eastern Illinois in rushing with 100 yards on 26 attempts. Faulker and Malcolm Agnew paced the Salukis with 55 rushing yards apiece.
