Wichita State 68, Illinois State 67: Cleanthony Early made a game-winning 3-pointer with eight seconds left, capping an 8-0 run in the final 44 seconds of regulation, as the host Shockers came back to beat the Redbirds and maintain sole possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings.After Johnny Hill made two free throws to push Illinois State's lead to 67-60 with 41 seconds left, Early made two free throws before Demetric Williams made a deep ball to pull Wichita State (22-5, 11-4) within two with 31 seconds to go.Malcolm Armstead led the Shockers with a game-high 18 points, six rebounds and six assists. Carl Hall had 13 points, Early finished with 12 off the bench and Williams chipped in 10 and seven rebounds.Tyler Brown scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Illinois State (16-11, 7-8), which had a four-game winning streak snapped.
