ORLANDO, Fla. -

Shaquille O'Neal will not be meeting with the Orlando Magic about their vacant general manager position, ESPN.com reports.

On Thursday, ESPN.com reported that O'Neal had declined an interview with the team that drafted him first overall in 1992.

On Wednesday, ESPN.com reported that O'Neal would be meeting with the team about the position. The team, however, offered no comment on the report.

O'Neal currently works for TNT as a studio analyst.

On Monday, head coach Stan Van Gundy and GM Otis Smith both left the organization. CEO Alex Martins said at a news conference Monday the search for a GM began immediately and they will fill the position by the NBA draft on June 28. The new GM will then help choose the next head coach, according to Martins.
