ORLANDO, Fla. -

An estimated $100 million in economic impact is expected to come to Orlando in two weeks when the city hosts the NBA All-Star Weekend.

But as of Thursday, several businesses located across the street across from the $480 million host Amway Center were considering suing the city for potential lost revenue because of an 8-foot fence the city has approved the NBA to build around the arena during the three days of festivities.

The city extended compensation offers to each of the 10 affected businesses, but only one accepted it by a Wednesday deadline.

Officials also maintain that the plan for the fence is no different than similar barriers constructed during previous All-Star games and that the businesses turned down a plan that would have moved them inside its perimeter.
