Heat's Bosh not cleared to return to team

All-Star sufferes from addtional clotting issues

MIAMI – The comeback of Heat forward Chris Bosh is on hold after medical tests found additional clotting issues.

The Heat released a statement stating that Bosh failed his pre-season physical and "remains unable to clear (Chris) to return to basketball activities."

According to the statement, there is no timetable for Bosh's return.

The Heat also said the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement keeps them from commenting further, citing a rule that "precludes a team from releasing certain medical information without a player's consent."

The Herald reports that the issue is in his lung, but is not considered to be life-threatening, although playing with the condition is unrealistic.

The Heat are scheduled to open training camp in The Bahamas next week.

In videos released just this week, Bosh pledged he would return to the basketball court after missing the second half of last season due to blood clots in his legs.

Blood clots in his lungs also forced the NBA veteran to miss the second half of the previous season.

Bosh said he felt the Heat had "written him off" after the last clotting issues.

The report claims the current complications are related to one of the previous two episodes.
