Cleveland sent guard Carrick Felix, a 2015 second-round draft pick and cash to the Utah Jazz in exchange for guard John Lucas III and forwards Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy, the Cavaliers announced in a press release. According to multiple media reports, the cash amount was $1 million.
Lucas, Thomas and Murphy have non-guaranteed contracts that could be shed give the Cavaliers help under the salary cap.
Felix, 23, saw minimal action in 23 game with the Cavaliers in 2013-14, averaging 2.7 points and 0.9 rebounds.
Lucas, 31, appeared in 42 games (six starts) for Utah last season, averaging 3.8 points, one assists and 0.9 rebounds.
Thomas, 25, played seven games for Utah and one for the San Antonio Spurs in 2013-14, producing averages of 1.9 points and 2.6 rebounds.
Murphy, 23, was a Chicago Bull last season, averaging 0.3 points and 0.3 rebounds in 24 games.
