The Calgary Flames signed defenseman Mark Cundari to a one-year, two-way contract on Saturday.

Cundari, who was not drafted, had six shots on goal, 10 hits, four blocks and averaged 10:46 of ice time in four regular-season games last season with Calgary.

Cundari also had nine goals and 14 assists in 56 games with the Abbotsford Heat and Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

The Flames acquired Cundari in a trade with the St. Louis Blues in April 2013. He has one goal and two assists in eight career NHL games.
