Braves 6, Marlins 1

ATLANTA -- Freddie Freeman ended his season-long frustration against Miami with his first home run in nearly a month to lead Atlanta over Miami.

Freeman, Atlanta's All-Star first baseman, entered the game with a .088 batting average in 11 games against Miami this season. He changed his luck in the second inning with a long three-run home run for a 5-0 lead.

Ervin Santana (9-6) allowed one run in 7 1/3 innings and has won four of his last five starts. He struck out 10 -- the 13th time in his career he has produced double-digit strikeouts.
