One year after launching a push to hire thousands of veterans, Disney has announced deep discounts for active & retired military personnel and their spouses.
Disney has long been a favorite destination for the military, having sold one of its original resorts to become the Shades of Green -- a pentagon owned-and-operated hotel.

From August 12th through September 24, 2014,  military families can  purchase:

4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Park Hopper Option for $169 each, plus tax

Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Water Park Fun and More Option for $169 each, plus tax and Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More Options for $198 each, plus tax

Walt Disney World tickets may be used September 29 2013, through September 27 2014, except December 20 - 31 2013; April 13 - 20 2014, and July 4th at the Magic Kingdom.
Military personnel can purchase these tickets for themselves and up to five additional family members or friends.

Disney is also offering discounted rooms. Here's a link to more information.

Meanwhile the Brevard Zoo is offering a great deal for teachers: Free admission.

From July 29 through August 2 -- the zoo  is offering free admission for teachers if they show their ID. This only applies to the teacher, not any guests.
But teachers also get a 10 percent discount on food and merchandise.

Here's a link to the zoo for more information.

More from Theme World tomorrow. Until then -- please keep your emails, questions, and comments coming! I always appreciate the feedback.
