Theme World:  Local Kids Help LEGOLAND's World of Chima

A busy time in Theme World. Thursday, Universal marks the official opening of "Transformers: the Ride-3D"
And LEGOLAND Florida is now just 2 weeks away from opening its "World of Chima" area.
You may recall a couple of months ago, we told you LEGOLAND was looking for a few good kids to joining Buddy's Brick Bunch -- a group of child ambassadors and consultants for the park.
Well here they are!

And their first duty -- christen the first boat for the centerpiece of the Chima land: The Quest for CHI

You can tell they are having fun.  They also got to help paint and spray concrete over the new area.

World of Chima holds its grand opening July 3.
Three of the 6 Brick Bunch Members are from Central Florida:
Sanford, Fla.: Alek Schoneck, 11 years old
Orlando, Fla.: Alexander Rodriguez (9); Angela Winiewicz (9)

And they were already giving interviews or the press:

The Bunch also got to make their own name tags (out of Lego, of course) and an up close tour of the park's Miniland miniatures.

If your child would love to be a Brick Bunch member, don't lose hope.
The park plans to pick a new team once a year.

We'll bring you more on Chima soon. Until then, keep your emails, questions, and comments coming! I always appreciate the feedback.

Here's a link to my most recent Theme World Blog entries.

See you in the parks!
