Minor league baseball team to announce name, logo

Team will begin playing in Osceola County in 2017

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Baseball fans will soon know the name of Central Florida's new minor league team. 

Officials will unveil the name and the team's logo during a ceremony Wednesday evening.

The team was created after the Brevard County Manatees officially moved to Osceola County and signed a four-year affiliation with the Atlanta Braves. 

The unveiling is set for 6:30 p.m. at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee. 

The new minor league team will play its first game in April 2017.
