PHILADELPHIA -

The Orlando Predators' hopes of winning an Arena Bowl Championship were dashed Saturday night in Philadelphia.

Despite a valiant fight, the Preds saw their season come to an end with a 59-55 loss to the favored Soul in the first round of the Arena League playoffs.

Orlando, a two touchdown underdog, was the better team early.

Behind quarterback Aaron Garcia, the Predators built a 21-7 lead in the first half. Yet, they could not stop the Philadelphia rally.

The Soul forced a Garcia fumble with seconds to play which sealed Philadelphia's victory.

The Preds finish the season at 7 and 12.

The Arena Bowl will be held at the Predators home. It's Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Amway Center.
