Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that they have agreed to terms with Orlando native, defenseman Myles Harvey.

Harvey (6-5, 225 lbs.) played the last four seasons (2009-13) for Providence College (NCAA), including serving as an alternate captain during his junior and senior seasons. His best statistical season came in 2011-12, where he notched 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists. Harvey appeared in 124 games during his four-year collegiate career, finishing with eight goals and 24 assists for 32 points.

“Myles certainly makes our blue line bigger,” said Head Coach Vince Williams. “He brings an element of size and strength to our back end.”

Harvey played his youth hockey in Central Florida for the Jr. Lightning and Tampa Bay Raiders.

The Orlando, FL, native attended training camp with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League before joining the Solar Bears.
