ORLANDO, Fla. -

The Arizona Rattlers were the AFL's best team throughout the season.

They were the best team on Saturday as well, defeating the Philadelphia Soul 48-39 to win Arena Bowl XXVI at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando.

In front of 12,039 fans, including KISS frontmen Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons who were watching from a luxury box, Rattlers quarterback Nick Davila threw for 6 touchdowns, two to Arena Bowl XXVI MVP Rod Windsor.

The Rattlers are the first team to repeat as Arena Bowl champs since the '95, '96 Tampa Bay Storm.
