Report: Magic down to final three for GM job

Thunder, Spurs execs among finalists

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Magic have narrowed the search for a new general manager down to three finalists, as first reported by Yahoo! Sports.

The candidates to replace former GM Otis Smith are former New Orleans Hornets GM Jeff Bower, Oklahoma City Thunder Assistant GM Rob Hennigan and San Antonio Spurs Vice President/Assistant GM Dennis Lindsey.

Magic CEO Alex Martins wants to have a GM in place before the NBA Draft on June 28.

The new GM will then be involved in hiring Stan Van Gundy's replacement for head coach.

The Magic parted ways with Smith and Van Gundy on May 21.

Whoever the Magic select for GM will have the responsibility of figuring out what to do with Dwight Howard.
