ORLANDO, Fla. - Local 6 sports director David Pingalore has learned through sources that Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard may soon fire his agent.
Dwight Howard arrived at the Orlando Magic training camp Friday, just as Pingalore reported would happen.

Howard is currently represented by California based-agent, Dan Fegan.
The same sources said that Howard's father, Dwight Howard Sr., will request that his son be traded from the Magic, but Howard Sr. told Pingalore on Friday that he's not acting as his son's agent.
Howard Sr. would neither confirm nor deny that Howard was on the verge of firing Fegan.
The reason Howard is pushing for a trade now is because of a new stipulation in the NBA's collective bargaining agreement that requires a player to be on a team for six months before he becomes a free agent in order to retain his "Bird rights." Howard would need to force a trade by Jan. 1 to reap the full benefits of free agency.
If Howard is traded before Jan. 1, he can sign another deal in five years with 7.5 percent annual raises; If he's traded after Jan. 1, he can only get four years and 4.5 percent annual raises, which would be a difference of $30 million
The Orlando Magic, according to sources, have no interest at this time in trading Howard to New Jersey for the reported offer of center Brook Lopez and draft picks. Any potential Howard trade would include Hedo Turkoglu, so the Magic can create salary-cap room, sources say.
Howard addressed the trade rumors on Twitter, saying, "would y'all leave me alone about that. Dang. Am I on another team no. And if u hate me becuz another jersey u never loved me."
The trade rumors come just hours after Orlando Magic CEO Bob Vander Weide announced that he was stepping down.
The team this week also laid off 20 employees and eliminated 12 open positions, sources told Local 6 News.
