MELBOURNE, Fla. – Can’t make it down to Port St. Lucie to see Tim Tebow play with the St. Lucie Mets?

Tickets went on sale Tuesday for “An Evening with Tim Tebow,” which will be held Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Clemente Center in Melbourne on Florida Tech’s campus.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Coastal Community School in Satellite Beach and Trinity Fitness, which has three locations in Brevard County.

Tebow is a two-time national champion with the Florida Gators football team, the 2007 Heisman trophy winner and a first-round NFL draft pick by the Denver Broncos.

Since 2013, Tebow has been a college football analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network.

Most recently, Tebow decided to change sports, moving from football to baseball.

Tebow currently plays for the New York Mets’ High-A affiliate in Port St. Lucie, where he is hitting .272 with five homers and 21 RBI.
