Two teens in Angleton, Texas, are being questioned by police after video showing a pit bull mauling a cat tied to a truck surfaced on MySpace.com.
The Internet video, brought to the attention of police by a woman in New York, features two teens laughing as the dog attacks the cat.
The pit bull belongs to one of the boys.
The cat died from its injuries and the body was recovered in a pile of brush behind the home of one of the teenagers.
"I was shocked," Angleton police Sgt. Kirk Coleman said. "I was surprised that no one witness (had seen) that and called it in prior to this."
The Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took the cat remains as evidence and two pit bulldogs have been removed from the home.
The video has since been removed from the Web site.
The teenagers could face animal cruelty charges, which is a state felony punishable by 180 days to two years in prison.
