Mom, Daughter Videotaped Taking Turns Slapping Boy On School Bus
Investigators in St. Petersburg said Karen Barber and her daughter stopped a school bus headed for Riviera Middle School at 16th Avenue.Surveillance video showed the two getting on the school bus and confronting a 13-year-old boy.The tape showed Barber and her daughter slapping the boy in the face."She slaps him one time, followed by the daughter who slaps him twice," St. Petersburg police representative Bill Proffitt told a WTSP-TV.Barber claimed the boy had punched her 12-year-old son on the bus a day earlier, according to the report.Barber and her daughter are both charged with battery.The girl could be suspended or expelled from school and the woman could face up to six months in jail.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
