Henry Coffer, 76, said he started saving the piles of hair for a customer who spread it over his watermelon patch to keep the coyotes out.The customer stopped growing melons, but Coffer continued to save the hair at his barbershop located on Main Street in Charleston.Coffer said Guinness World Records is interested in checking the giant hairball."I called (Guinness) and asked if they had a hairball and they said no but were interested," Coffer said.Coffer said he is continuing to add to the giant hairball, featuring black, blond, brown and gray hair.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
