Skip Valet
Skip Valet is a 24-year veteran of Post-Newsweek stations.

Valet has been the news director at WKMG since June of 2001. Previously, he was the news director at WJXT in Jacksonville, Fla.
Other jobs he held at WJXT-TV included producer, reporter, assignment manager, managing editor and assistant news director.
Valet was awarded a Peabody Award for a documentary about domestic violence and an Emmy for coverage of an Amtrak train derailment.
Valet's newsrooms have been recognized by the Radio and Television News Directors Association's National Edward R. Murrow Awards three times, once for "Continuing Coverage" and two consecutive years for "Overall Excellence."
In 2002 and again in 2006, The Associated Press recognized WKMG's newscast as the "Best" in Florida for large market television.
Valet is a graduate of the University of North Florida and is a life-long Florida resident.
