Jacqueline London is a familiar face to many in Central Florida.

As a Local 6 news anchor, she has dedicated herself to providing news that's accurate, important and relevant to people's lives. During her career at Local 6, she has appeared on many station newscasts ranging from early morning to late evening.

Starting as an anchor on the Local 6 morning show, Jacqueline helped many start their day off the right way. She soon added anchoring Local 6 News at Noon to her responsibilities. Not long after that, big changes were in store for the up-and-coming anchor.

Jacqueline chartered new territory becoming the first African American woman to solo anchor an evening newscast in Central Florida, Local 6 News at 5:30PM. She now anchors Local 6 News at 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m.

Among her numerous accolades, The Orlando Business Journal voted Jacqueline, "Best Local News Anchor" in the area.

Jacqueline received her journalism and mass communications degree from the University of Iowa and began her television career in Moline, Illinois. Within six months she progressed from reporter to anchor.

The broadcast journalist believes in giving back to the community and one of the charities she supports is Give Kids the World Village. Jacqueline volunteers for this special place, which provides terminally or chronically ill children a dream vacation with their family.

Jacqueline also enjoys spending her free time traveling and relaxing by the water.

Having moved here from Chicago, Jacqueline says the people here are just as warm and inviting as the wonderful weather and she's proud to call Central Florida home.
