According to an Indian River County Sheriff's Office report, Sebastian police were called to the apartment on Turtle Run Drive about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. When the first officer arrived, he found a woman sitting on the sidewalk and holding a blood-soaked rag to her chest.

Several witnesses told authorities that the woman came out of an apartment screaming, "Please help me. He's trying to kill me."

The woman told police that her husband had stabbed her.

After obtaining a search warrant, authorities found blood smears on the front door of the apartment and in the hall leading to the master bedroom, the report said. Authorities also found a hunting knife on the dining room floor with what appeared to be blood on the top of the blade and blood stains on the bed sheets.

The woman told detectives that she and Ngo were arguing about getting divorced. She said Ngo told her, "I am going to kill you," before pulling out the knife and stabbing her in the chest.

Ngo's wife said she told him that she needed to get help, but he was blocking her from leaving the master bedroom.

A neighbor watching fireworks outside told detectives that he saw Ngo's wife stick her head out the apartment door and yell before Ngo pulled her back inside, the report said.

Deputies searching for Ngo found him Wednesday morning at a relative's home in Vero Beach, the report said.

Ngo had bloodstains on his T-shirt and several cuts on his face, neck, ear and right index finger, the report said. There was also dried blood on the hood of Ngo's pickup truck, the report said.
