NASA launches suborbital rocket from Virginia facility

Space agency says rocket launched for Department of Defense

ATLANTIC, Va. - NASA has launched a suborbital rocket from its Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

The space agency says the Terrier-Lynx suborbital rocket was launched Monday morning for the Department of Defense.

The launch originally was scheduled for Friday morning but NASA postponed it because of weather concerns.
